  • Microfabrication - The Auckland Microfab is a multidisciplinary research facility. We offer microfabrication capabilities to academic and industrial researchers.

Recent academic projects have included the development of microfluidics for research on single living cells, large-scale surface patterning for thin-film optics, conducting polymer actuators for drug delivery and biosensing, transparent surface acoustic wave sensors, and polymeric dielectrics for organic electronics.

Our facility has been used by industry to improve processing conditions for biomedical and industrial polymers, for the design of flowcells for dairy waste stream sensors, and to explore new concepts in gas sensor design.
